Also see Bruce's latest item in Technocrat which discusses this. While MySQL AB is having second thoughts about GPLv3, other projects might only procrastinate this. The whole scenario makes you think about companies that accepted Novell's offer, e.g. Citroen. The encouraging news is that moving between Linux vendors is easy(ier). Samba is moving to GPLv3.
