The Linspire developers recently presented some neat CNR extensions that find good dependency routes. It's truly terrible that these folks get screwed by their poor management's decisions.

I also tried Freespire 2.0 and its waste of time. There are many distros which do the same stuff pretty nicely. It failed to identify my other distros installed and also no cnr.visit www.cnr.com and you get this,

"CNR.com will be live within the next two weeks. Stay tuned and you will soon be able to download your favorite Linux software in one click!"

What a release it has been so far! Users are moved to synaptic and apt for installation. hmm...I heard *spire makes software installation easy for dumb linux users...geez...they actually forgot that now Linux is not as dumb as they consider ! , lol

And if people do want proprietary stuff, they could very easily include with few clicks. Not a big deal. When a user is able to install Linux, he is capable of installing these proprietary stuff too and it is these people who degrade those users and put them down.

There are many many pitfalls with *spire. I would never recommend it anymore as the worlds easiest linux desktop operating system !
