Yes, it’s another such story, among others [1, 2, 3].
For me it’s time to say goodbye to openSuse, this system is not for a normal user who needs the things running without hassle. My demand on a system is very clear: Plug and play. Whenever I need to open the terminal window the developers are to dump to produce a perfect user experience. Ubuntu is downloading at the moment and I will test it as soon as it is burned on cd-rw…
It’s a shame that OpenSUSE sometimes gets slammed in this Web site because of Novell’s actions. It’s portrayed as a project which is independent from Novell but OpenSUSE’s success makes Novell a more considerable risk. █

You are trying to read a sentence the way that suits your point of view. The point which was made is that if Novell wasn’t benefiting, then there would be no reason to comment on this project (OpenSUSE). For similar reasons, Mono is criticised on occasions, despite the fact that it’s another seemingly-innocent project.

That’s true, Ian. I prepended “Quick Mention:” and kept it short for this reason. Maybe I’ll just find a way to separate shorts from longer articles. Shane and I thought about it last year. The CMS doesn’t facilitate this without some radical hacking (Geeklog and Drupal have better facilities).
