Linux Hate Content in Digg or Just Microsoft Munchkins?
“Use [...] the Internet, etc. to heighten the impression that the enemy is desperate, demoralized, defeated, [...] associated with mental deficiency, as in, “he believes in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny”. Just keep rubbing it in, via the [...] newsgroups, [...] make the complete failure of the competition’s technology part of the mythology of the computer industry.”

Watch this user account in Digg.com. As you can hopefully see:
- It’s used to troll GNU/Linux topics
- It contains insidious messages (e.g. Resider murder)
- It uses my (warped) photos
- It’s being used to harass me directly
People have complained a lot about Slashdot, especially recently. Digg is the same. There are several more examples like this here (further down in the updates). About 4 such accounts got terminated before (the staff confirmed they were replications/abusive). As we pointed out the other day, Microsoft hires agencies to do its trolling.

Speaking of slashdot, anyone noticed the incredibly directx biased post regarded OpenGL’s latest? Really, rather than an announcement that openGL was updated it seemed like a “everyone should use directx10″ message.

@Victor: exactly. See the IRC logs from yesterday and the day before that. It was immediately spotted and Slashdot should be ashamed of itself.

I’ve seen that…OpenGL 3.0 seems a real DELUSION, but switching to DirectX is not a solution at all. Hell, the good part of DX10 is only for Vista, and 10.1 is even less backwards compatible.
Who’s supposed to use DX10.1 ? Nvidia still doesn’t support it…That is a real FAILURE.

The only thing that is not supported is the new specification of OpenGL… well, at least in Linux
So that’s a real FAILURE.
