RHEL (and thus also CentOS) also have some really good identity management packages.  However, all you will find centers around Kerberos and OpenLDAP, even imitations like MS AD do that, so it may also be worth it to just take the few extra steps needed to learn Kerberos V and OpenLDAP straight up.</description>
