Gemini version available ♊︎Microsoft Has Already Decided: Google is Dirty, Microsoft is Clean
[sarcasm] Google will eat your baby, according to Microsoft [/sarcasm]
Summary: Microsoft blocks Google for offering search (and for competing against Microsoft), but it does not block its own search site/s
FURTHER TO A story that we covered last week, there is important information worth adding. We asked whether all search engines are being blocked by Microsoft’s filters, including its own. We’ve finally found the answer to that question which is so crucial:
Install Microsoft’s Family Safety Filter (FSF) – and protect your family from vile and extreme websites such as, er, Google.
[...]
However, “with the filter on, Microsoft’s own search engine, live.com comes up.”
Here is the original (source). Microsoft is safe for search but Google is not, according to Microsoft.
Google should really carry this up to antitrust authorities, but given their previous experiences with USDOJ cronies like Barnett [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8], this may be a waste of time. █

Anything that MS creates will block their rivals. This behavior is long know. Just consider IE seven default search “live search” that even when you change it on the registry the first time you run it a selection appears asking you if you “consent” that google.com continue to be you search page. This sucks because it’s done for any user that uses that box. There’s no way to disable this, but it’s worth the cause && I change the registry, run it && delete history to avoid that message appear again for the users. I’m sick of seeing them being poisoned by MS. Though I haven’t tried but I bet IE 8 does the same or even worse.
The only thing I can do it’s to promote FREEDOM and educate users for home use Linux. I tell them what MS goals are not on their own interest. Thus they’ll break the chains && avoid being monitored by MS and potential hackers. Little by little but I’m doing some progress. Regards
