IT MAY BE TRUE that the TomTom case is just a history lesson despite OIN's response, but a source has just told us privately that "TomTom paid less the half a million EUR to Microsoft because otherwise they have to file it at the Dutch Tax authorities."

If Microsoft admits that slop is too expensive and is for "entertainment purposes" because it cannot be relied upon, why would anyone other than the pushers and profiteers still insist that slop bears potential?
