Declassified US Army Field Manuals Explain Microsoft's Public Relations Strategy (Similar to Selling Imperialism to the Occupied)

Radio close-up

Summary: The misuse of public broadcast to brainwash the public is well understood and thoroughly exploited by both Microsoft and the Gates Foundation (which sells this ridiculous lie that the world's richest people speak for and fight for the poorest, i.e. those impoverished by endless greed)

"I was taking a look at some old, declassified US Army field manuals," a reader told us, "and I came upon this example in the PSYOPS Manual (FM 3-05.301). It seems they reckon Bill Gates and Microsoft [are] expert propagandists. I think it might be interesting to you and some of your readers."

Here's the relevant part:

PSYOPS Manual on Gates

We joked about this earlier today in IRC. One person said, based upon readings, that "some of that PSYOPS stuff is "we are occupying country x, success is determined whether they like us or not" [...] why are you here? Not an issue. What's the plan? Not a problem. Who's taking over after you leave? Not a concern. Is the marketing working? This is the thread everything hangs on. Is there a war going on? Don't worry about it. By the way, how do you "feel" about us? Do you 'feel' safe? That's good. Do you "feel" secure? Then you are secure."

“Whether domestic or abroad, I think that is the civilian-targeting PSYOPS: the point is, try to make people pretend they like us, or at least sell that image that "the people" are on your side... Microsoft loves Linux, they are on the side of "the people" now...”

Then enter Microsoft.

"Do you "feel" like this is good technology? Good. Does this "feel" like open source? Are you buying the branding/image? Catch 22: just write good things about us. The parallels never end. Whether domestic or abroad, I think that is the civilian-targeting PSYOPS: the point is, try to make people pretend they like us, or at least sell that image that "the people" are on your side... Microsoft loves Linux, they are on the side of "the people" now..."

"Microsoft has had clear competitors in the past. It’s a good thing we have museums to document that." --Bill Gates
