Syndication, Feeds and Subscriptions in Gemini
Summary: The Gemini (gemini://) protocol is both exciting and functional; this video explains how it can handle requests from visitors and deal with subscriptions to capsules/pages
WE have added 2019 archives (full) to our Gemini capsule, which is now self-updating (kept in sync with HTTP) every 3 hours. The capsule now has about 5,000 pages in it. That number will grow over time. The capsule’s address (URL) is gemini://gemini.techrights.org/
and the feed is at gemini://gemini.techrights.org/feed
(not RSS feed, Gemini does it differently).
“We hope that more people will join us at Gemini (as some reader of ours already have).”This video explains the concept of “subscriptions” in Gemini and shows how this is managed in Amfora, a command-line client for Gemini (the GUI clients have their own means for maintaining subscriptions).
We hope that more people will join us at Gemini (as some readers of ours already have). This isn’t some passing fad; Gemini is fast-growing and it has its place alongside the World Wide Web. █

I would like to ask you for a distinctive categorization for your posts about Gemini, so they’re easier to find with something like “http://techrights.org/category/gemini/”.
