THE command-line interface (CLI) might seem "retro" or "brutalist" or "for ricers", but there are many practical benefits when everything is text or a file or an object that can be parsed, piped, saved, or processed in some fashion. It's the UNIX philosophy, which GNU also adheres to (unlike some IBM stuff, which treats POSIX like POS).

To better manage the placement of windows (with command explained here) I use tiling window management mode in Xfce and in KDE notifications can be used to highlight events of interest, even with sounds.

We're going to explain how to make use of gemini:// from the command line (not interactive mode, not ncurses either).
