Bonum Certa Men Certa

We Need and Deserve a Saner Patent System in Europe

SanFer

Summary: The laughing stock that the patent system, the patent law firms, and patent media became (over the past few years) must be replaced; at the moment we have a cabal connected to a bunch of criminals running the entire show and the public understandably grows impatient (at least people who are sufficiently informed; the criminals have already intimidated and bribed a lot of the media and they're still bribing more of it, as we shall demonstrate later today)

THE series about the EPO is becoming longer than we first expected. As more scandals are unearthed there's a lot more left to say.

In the meantime, at the very least as a kind of interlude, let's examine some input we've been receiving about the ongoing series (part 12 was published a few hours ago).

As it turns out, WIPO and/or Ficsor are violating copyright law. Citing the PowerPoint presentation, one reader said that "Alberto of FFII Spain has the copyright on some kayak vs boat images" and that it would be fun to enforce copyright law against WIPO. Stay tuned...

"This entire system and its crooked media need to collapse and be rebuilt again from scratch. This indeed extends to the media, which has been rendered little but a bunch of PR boutiques."Meanwhile we've predictably seen Bastian Best using the loopholes recently promoted by Ms Pyjamas to promote his new firm, under the guise of “Patentability of Artificial Intelligence Inventions in Europe” (we're omitting links to these, but he does a lot of E-mail marketing to that effect this month). "If you’re into software patenting," he wrote, "these 12 minutes are very much worth investing..."

Does he realise what programmers say? Or the EPC? Or the Parliament? Does he code? Did he ever code?

He's basically admitting very openly that "Artificial Intelligence Inventions" are just European software patents. He has also just sent out some mail entitled "7 Golden Rules of patenting software" (at least he's not shy to admit the nature of these patents).

As noted here, the firm that Mr. Best comes from (this is a broken link now) has been lobbying for the UPC, lobbying for software patents, and it is working for Microsoft's patent trolls while JUVE does ads/puff pieces for these people.

It's rather sad to see the pathetic state of the media, the pathetic state of the EPO, and the pathetic state of the patent profession. These people actively promote unlawful practices, they do reputation laundering for criminals, and as we'll show later today they also take bribes from criminals, who in turn offer awards to other criminals. This entire system and its crooked media need to collapse and be rebuilt again from scratch. This indeed extends to the media, which has been rendered little but a bunch of PR boutiques.
