Open Invention Network (OIN) Protects Amazon and AWS From Activists Like Us Who Want to Abolish Software Patents Through Reforms of the Patent Systems

Summary: The Open Invention Network (OIN) does not exist to serve the Free software community but to work against it; the latest joining (AWS) proves this

THE original leader of OIN was a legal head who had come from IBM and the current one is a bigwig who played tennis with elite banksters. These people understand the word "community" just as well as the Linux Foundation understands Linux (spoiler: it rejects Linux! It only uses the word/brand).

"Well, "sjvn" even defames the founder of the GNU/Linux operating system because he's not the one paying his salary."Steven Vaughan-Nichols (sjvn), in turn, works for ZDNet, which is bankrolled by IBM, Microsoft, and their front group Linux Foundation, hence it also became the go-to propaganda front of OIN and LOT Networks [1, 2]. "sjvn" is their current (first to 'report') mouthpiece, always producing the seminal puff pieces for them (aside from the press releases). He did not disappoint them this week, nor did this insanely dumb piece entitled Amazon joins Open Invention Network to keep its Linux patents safe. As we noted in Daily Links yesterday, "[t]here's no such thing as "Linux patents"; lies and distortions from OIN are being perpetuated by clueless people" (as explained in the video above).

These people are parrots for large corporations with a lot of software patents they don't wish to give up on. They're not serving the community of developers. Well, "sjvn" even defames the founder of the GNU/Linux operating system because he's not the one paying sjvn's salary.
