The word coming through the grapevine (I spoke to people) is that layoffs are imminent, spending cuts are already deep, and the situation is grossly under-reported (media dysfunctional)

Summary: A couple of new comments today suggest that not only are Microsoft layoffs coming (rumour says next week and some can "confirm") but there's a lot more on the way
