Welcome to Techrights

Founded in 2006, this Web site represents more than just a message; it serves a community and a growing movement. Having attracted over a billion hits, Techrights is now an internationally-recognised platform for advocacy of digital rights and personal privileges. Activism here is both positive and negative, as Techrights often criticises companies and organisations that harm society. The site was best known for Boycott Novell until 2010. The goal here is to maximise freedom, reduce surveillance, and generally promote the sharing of knowledge, which in turn requires transparent systems, lenient licensing terms, no censorship, and active collaboration among parties.

TechBytes Video

TechBytes Video is the multimedia part/component of Techrights. It is where video meets audio, where the latter is typically referred to just as TechBytes.

TechBytes Video is produced by meeting people of interest or by having a discussion, review etc. with cohosts of the show.

TechBytes Video will hopefully have some high-profile guests for many years to come. Feel free to suggest possible guests.
