[20:20] schestowitz[TR2] The EC is responsible for organising the next Staff Representation elections in 2026. Introduction and procedural context [20:20] schestowitz[TR2] - Following Article 35(5)(d) of the Service Regulations, the 2023 Election [20:20] schestowitz[TR2] Rules, which remain in force1, shall be transmitted to the Administration by [20:20] schestowitz[TR2] the end of 2025. [20:20] schestowitz[TR2] - Fourteen candidates came forward2 for the EC. According to Article 3(2) of [20:20] schestowitz[TR2] the 2023 Election Rules, the EC shall be composed of an uneven number [20:20] schestowitz[TR2] of at least five and a maximum of nine members. The 2023 Election Rules [20:20] schestowitz[TR2] do not specify how the candidates to the EC shall be selected in case there [20:20] schestowitz[TR2] are more candidates than places available, and no amendments to that [20:20] schestowitz[TR2] effect were proposed in our recent call for amendments to the Election [20:20] schestowitz[TR2] Rules3.
