    [07:45] schestowitz[TR2]

Canonical has just released a publicly available Ubuntu 24.04 Desktop beta image for the Qualcomm DragonWing QCS6490 and QCS5430 processors, and more specifically for the Qualcomm RB3 Gen 2 Vision Kit (QCS6490) and Qualcomm RB3 Gen 2 Lite Vision Kit (QCS5430). This adds to the existing Ubuntu 24.04 Server image for the Qualcomm vision kits, and Canonical says the unified image is currently designed for developers, ODMs/OEMs, and [07:45] schestowitz[TR2] customers who want to evaluate the solution, and certified versions of Ubuntu 24.04 Desktop and Server images are coming soon with long term support and maintenance.

Brave browser - A rather interesting Chromium-based option
    [11:01] schestowitz[TR2]
    [11:01] schestowitz[TR2]

Until now, for no deliberate reason, I never quite got around to testing Brave. I have tried and reviewed various other Chromium-based browsers, but somehow, not it. Well, today, I would like to rectify the situation, and take Brave for a spin. What makes the endeavor easier is the fact it is the default browser in Zorin OS, a Linux distribution, which I tested recently.

    [11:01] schestowitz[TR2]

Now, be aware the Zorin team has configured Brave its own way, with some of the features disabled by default. Thus, your experience with Brave could be different from what I'm about to show, but the essential bits and pieces should be the same. Also, be aware I'm gonna do this review from the perspective of a staunch Firefox user, so my focus is on whether Brave could be a solid s [11:01] schestowitz[TR2] econdary browser for me. All right, let's see what gives.

KDE Drops Plasma LTS Label, Eyes Extended Support for All Releases

For years, Plasma offered a Long-Term Support branch that received bug-fix backports but little active testing. Participants at the sprint concluded that the limited scope of this arrangement raised expectations they could no longer meet.
