Been asked to train some Indians to take over the responsibilities. Sad to see team members being PIPed and literally being pushed out the door to make room for Indians. [21:19] schestowitz[TR2] Given that most teams have already been cut to the bone -- they were cut to the bone two years ago -- they can afford to reduce the layoff percentage from 15 to 8% if it saves them severance. Not like there's that many people left anyway unless you're in India. [21:19] schestowitz[TR2] PIP pip hooray! [21:19] schestowitz[TR2] 5 hours ago by PIP pip hooray! Some managers are pushing back, but the higher ups are not bulging. It looks bad to the shareholders. The companys strategy is to force managers to target 15% of their team as low performers (even when there is none), and put them on PIPs or de-incentive them by making their lives miserable (more work, no salary increase, etc.) to get them to leave.
