[10:48] schestowitz[TR2] "That Palm Treo line was awesome.
[10:48] schestowitz[TR2] I recently watched a season of 24 where Keifer Sutherland was rocking a PalmOS-powered Treo 650.
[10:48] schestowitz[TR2] It reminded me of how much weve lost, in mobile computing, over the last 20 years.
[10:48] schestowitz[TR2] - Removable battery.
[10:48] schestowitz[TR2] - Stylus built-in.
[10:48] schestowitz[TR2] - Accessible SD card slots right on the top.
[10:48] schestowitz[TR2] - Actual, physical, clicky-y buttons.
[10:48] schestowitz[TR2] - True variety in hardware styles.
[10:48] schestowitz[TR2] Even in the technically preposterous ways Jack Bauer used it in 24 (Open a socket and send it to my screen!), the Treo line looked darn cool.
[10:48] schestowitz[TR2] Maybe Im in the minority, but Id take a PalmOS Treo over an iPhone any day (as long as I could get it working on modern mobile data networks)."
[10:53] schestowitz[TR2] "The @EFF
[10:53] schestowitz[TR2] is giving advice to minors (under 18) who identify as Trans.
[10:53] schestowitz[TR2] Im a 17 year old trans woman, said a confused teenage boy on Instagram, who the EFF began a discussion with related to his sexuality.
[10:53] schestowitz[TR2] Worth remembering that the EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) was founded for the purpose of educating law enforcement and politicians on computers and computer related topics.
[10:53] schestowitz[TR2] Now they talk to kids, on Instagram, about their genitals."

[14:49] schestowitz[TR2] The Sparrow Hawk from Retronix Technology is a single-board computer built around the Renesas R-Car V4H processor. Originally developed for automotive applications, the R-Car V4H combines Arm Cortex-A76 and Cortex-R52 CPU cores with integrated graphics and AI acceleration. Retronix cites robotics, smart manufacturing, computer vision, and industrial edge systems as example use cases.

[22:11] schestowitz[TR2] And think about back up plan, if you have some hobby/passion you can make a living of. The job market is bad and it's going to be worse. Personally, i was not able to find a job which would cover my bills since i've been let go. Job market is ridiculous. So i'm selling my house, will repay all my debts and start a small woodworking/carpentery business.

[22:11] schestowitz[TR2] with that said, i guess if you're going to build your expertise around automation, setting up AI agents in F&O area, that might work the best for you for some time. ;)

[22:11] schestowitz[TR2] Just curiosity, i've been in GTS IRM for couple years, in STG for a while and mostly in CIO, all in area of Finance and Ops (layed off after 18y in 2024).
[22:11] schestowitz[TR2] F&O (or T&O) is quite a challenge in these days (and was in past years). As someone already mentioned on this site, try to focus on something that is truly scarce and unique as the future prospects in the age of better and better agentic AI are not that good.
[22:11] schestowitz[TR2] Best of luck to you and all of us.

[22:11] schestowitz[TR2] @er despite what you state, your IBM email address is non- confidential.
[22:11] schestowitz[TR2] IBM used to publish the names, phone numbers and email address of all IBM employees at one point a few years ago, so that IBM customers could reach out for support and sales as needed.
[22:11] schestowitz[TR2] Anyone with a few smarts could get the IBM US country code - 897. It's on the Web if you know where to look.
[22:11] schestowitz[TR2] Since when did IBM employee email addresses become confidential ? Since someone like you, IBM India HR troll, made it up ?

[22:11] schestowitz[TR2] honestly i think for sharing positivity you sort of choosed the wrong site :). I think it would work better for you to post positivity and enthusiasm on yours (ask for connection to senior leaders, execs, VPs) and IBMs Linkedin profiles. With better potential outcome for you overall if you're aiming high ;)
[22:11] schestowitz[TR2] Btw. curious, which business unit / division are you working at?
