Maybe require everyone to do 10% more AI and then report that 10% up tick in output as "success"?

They think every problem can be solved with better tech and for those that can't, best to ignore those. Its not that the people arent good, its the total underinvestment in this stuff. They pretty much took the savings before it delivered what was needed.
