Command Shift: Microsofts Telling Embrace Of sudo
    [09:08] schestowitz
    [09:08] schestowitz

On Thursday, in the wake of a public announcement that Microsoft was adding sudo support to Windows, Bob Coggeshall, who co-authored the original sudo command at SUNY Buffalo 44 years ago, wrote a very good joke that only I appear to have noticed:

    [09:08] schestowitz

    "sudo youre welcome"

That is a flex if Ive ever seen one, and its well-deserved, as word comes down that Microsoft has decided to take this command, one of the most common in the computing world, and bring it to its ecosystem in an official way for the first time.

[22:06] DaemonFC Of course they did. They put it there. [22:07] DaemonFC They deal with people who do things like this by making them wish they were never born. [22:07] DaemonFC The feds are uniquely positioned to punish leakers by planting evidence of horrible crimes then charging them in government courts. [22:07] MinceR hah, they can't do that to me [22:07] DaemonFC It's extremely suspicious that this seems to happen to everyone they don't like. [22:07] MinceR i already wish i never was born [22:09] DaemonFC MinceR: The CIA could arrange this and then demand an extradition if you were capable of doing something the US government wanted to do that over. [22:10] DaemonFC They don't care whether some people realize what the CIA can do and question the veracity of the charges against Schulte. [22:10] DaemonFC They can convict him in a Kangaroo Court and put him in prison and leave him on the SORA and ruin his life because most people believe whatever the government says about people.
