But we know that it is a fizzy drink (i.e. carbonated and sugary) and that it contains a caramel colour.

Surely what matters is that the relevant properties of the product are known, even if not every detail is known (i.e. including details which are irrelevant to the claim).     German open source vendor SUSE has said it will invest more than US$10 million (A$14.97 million) to fork the publicly available source code for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and make it available to world+dog with no restrictions.
