In fact, if journalism weren’t relying on attractive women to swoon tech then they would be the only industry that wasn’t. Just as you can spot a pharma girl from a mile away at a hospital, the same is often true of vendor reps and account managers on tech campuses too.

Just as plenty of doctors have stories about the lengths that pharma girls will go for a sale, the exact same is true of tech executives and there is no shortage of accounts describing how far pharma girl journalists will go on their knees for an exclusive. All day baby.

Ironically and like so many good looking people in jobs that skill alone cannot justify, many attractive tech journalists don’t seem to have any real tech experience, lob softballs at the powerful, and could stop working today to no noticeable detriment to society.

We are often presented this veneer of a narrative where’s its men vs. women, toxic masculinity vs. feminism, and journalism vs. tech. But this couldn’t be further from the truth when looking under the sheets. Tech journalist is merely the final form of a prostitute; nothing more.
