schestowitz__> Is the fear of COVID-19 causing some panic situations in xxxxx as it its here.Mar 20 02:46
schestowitz__I don't know. I have not been there in 5 years. But  from what I hear there's growing fear.Mar 20 02:46
schestowitz__> Here in the U.S., people are food shopping like hungry wolves; many bare shelves in the supermarkets. Certain items not available, even online, e.g. rubber gloves, sanitizers etc.Mar 20 02:46
schestowitz__If that's what's missing, you're well off. Some places are low-stocked on food.Mar 20 02:46
schestowitz__> Unless a vaccine is found I think the disease will persist because shutting off from all social contact is almost completely impossible; unless you live alone and isolate yourself.Mar 20 02:46
schestowitz__> You can’t use an elevator, go food shopping, shake hands with another person, sneeze or cough, restaurants, hotels, library, sports events and such all off limits, and much more.Mar 20 02:46
schestowitz__Yes, that's a temporary measure to at least slow down the spread.Mar 20 02:46
schestowitz__> By the way, does your mom still live in the home we visited and she owned 20 years ago? I imagine she sold it long ago.Mar 20 02:46

schestowitz__> someday you tell me why i can read it several times, but i always find one AFTER its sent? its like the left socks of the world. some go in the dryer-- some come out-- some end up in another dimension, our science has yet to determine why.Mar 20 03:01
schestowitz__Once sent, better not reread what was sent.Mar 20 03:01
schestowitz__> on the other hand, topologists actually know why your cords get tangled. its not just you-- theyre more likely to tangle than not! and if you really think about it, it makes perfect sense-- like a coin flip landing on heads half the time. there are more wrong ways for a few cables to find themselves vs a single right way.Mar 20 03:01

schestowitz__How can I stop KDE/Plasma from hiding the cursor when typing?Mar 20 05:08
schestowitz__I'm using kUbuntu with a wacom instead of a mouse. When using some applications like konsole the cursor is hidden when you begin typing. When using a standard mouse once you move the mouse again the cursor is revealed. However with a wacom when you start moving the cursor it is not revealed until you either click somewhere blindly or leave the window.Mar 20 05:08
