[04:07] schestowitz[TR2] Let's simply your numbers and say that you've been looking for 6 months without results. You need to survive, and the best way to survive for you is to think like a shark and look for a job wherever you can find it. It might be in the IT industry, it might be digging ditches, or it might be sweeping floors. In this economy, beggars can't be choosers, and you're probably close to a beggar if you're posting tales of woe on this forum [04:07] schestowitz[TR2] . [08:01] schestowitz[TR2] You become eligible for the shares after being an employee for two years, you can start selling up to your limit after another year. So that's 3 years in the company before you get any of the share money, it then takes you another two years to sell the rest of the shares. [08:01] schestowitz[TR2] They'll probably be employee only shares, you don't get to keep them if you leave the company and will have to sell them back at a token rate, probably pennies. [08:01] schestowitz[TR2] The benefit to you is an extra 90k in the long run, depending on company performance which you now have a vested interest in. The base salary they offer varies on the location. In the US, base salaries even for n [08:01] schestowitz[TR2] ew grads can be up to around $150k, while the same company would offer base salaries around $50k-$70k in Europe.
