[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] "Rewards exercise 2025 - How to contest the lack of reward
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] Dear members, dear colleagues,
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] We have already been contacted by many disappointed colleagues who did not receive a promotion, step or bonus in April 2025, despite their hard work in 2024, and feel this is unfair.
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] If you are in this situation and either received a good performance report for 2024 or contested your 2024 performance report, you can contest this decision by filing a request for review (RfR). The RfR must be filed within 3 months following the earliest of the following 2 dates: when your manager contacted you to announce the decision, or the 24th of April (April 2025 payslip).
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] We have seen colleagues with good or better performance reports receive a step or promotion with retroactive effect or monetary compensation after having filed a RfR and followed through to the subsequent internal appeal stage.
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] Your local SUEPO section will be distributing the template RfR - updated by our lawyer - to their members in the coming weeks.
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] In the meantime, we recommend starting to draft the arguments relevant to your situation, supported with relevant written traces (eg. appraisal report, documents proving supplementary activities...). A request for review should include the receivability, facts, grounds for review and what you are requesting. You will have to provide arguments showing any of the following criteria for challenging discretionary decisions:
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] Abuse of power
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] Breach of procedure
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] Error of law
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] Error of relevant fact
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] Consideration of irrelevant facts
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] Discrimination
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] Failure to consider relevant facts
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] Manifestly wrong conclusion based on correct facts
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] ILOAT Judgment 4711, consideration 8 states: Even though the new system is not automatic, neither is it left to an unfettered discretion. The main objective of your RfR will be to prove that this was not the case in your situation.
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] For more information about the process of contesting the lack of reward, see overview here. And for more details of this years reward exercise, please see here.
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] Out of courtesy, it is advisable to inform your line manager that you will be filing a RfR.
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or if you need support at any stage of the procedure.
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] Kind regards,
[04:59] schestowitz[TR2] SUEPO Central"

Surely another issue with using an output from a large language model like Abusive Monopolist Microsoft Chaffbot is that, when given the same prompt multiple times, the model will output slightly different responses. My understanding is that this is baked into how LLMs work.
Another issue, and one that touches on the remark that the response of an LLM will depend on the question and context, is that the"

[20:25] schestowitz[TR2] "Appeals Committee speaks, EPO please listen!
[20:25] schestowitz[TR2] Last week a number of important appeal opinions related to the Education & Childcare Allowance were communicated to the Appellants and made available in the INAP database.
[20:25] schestowitz[TR2] The Appeals Committee's opinions provide valuable insight into the scope of the Education & Childcare Allowance reform, particularly concerning Article 71 of the ServRegs. We are pleased to report that the Appeals Committee ruled in favour of the appellants and issued recommendations to the Office on how to comply with the ServRegs.
[20:25] schestowitz[TR2] Continue to read the full paper here.
[20:25] schestowitz[TR2] EPO: please listen to your internal justice system, also when it speaks in favour of staff!
[20:25] schestowitz[TR2] We will provide an update following the GCC meeting with the latest developments.
[20:25] schestowitz[TR2] As always do not hesitate to contact us for questions or comments.
[20:25] schestowitz[TR2] Kind regards,"

[22:45] schestowitz[TR2] Most of the guest workers at Trump properties have been granted US work visas through the H-2B program, which allows employers to hire foreigners when there are not enough Americans who are able, willing, qualified, and available to do some temporary work.

[22:49] schestowitz[TR2] So much uncertainty in IBM Marketing - layoffs, co location, CMO's lasting a nano-second yet Jonathon still standing when I have never seen such chaos and confusion in an organization in the 37 years I have been here. A year to bring this guy in, and he lasted as long as an Italian family dinner ...........unreal. Wonder what that cost the company.

[22:49] schestowitz[TR2] What goes around, comes around - maybe Cowan wasn't accomplishing a whole lot of layoffs as Adashek (shake your bo--y) and Alvind wanted.
[22:49] schestowitz[TR2] Now maybe the mother trucker-in-chief, Adashek will be exposed too and brought down for the corrupt P1mpmunk that he is. Won't happen soon enough.

[22:49] schestowitz[TR2] Not a thing. In fact, Im sure the reason he was given the boot was because he didnt eliminate headcount fast enough since thats JAs only goal and the only reason the McKenzieite was brought in. not that I have any interest in defending anybody from the cottage industry of consulting nonsense, but I wonder if his crime was that he actually believed he was brought here to do marketing. Poor fool IBM only has one strategy
