This smart spice box makes cooking a breeze
    [08:34] schestowitz[TR2]
    [08:34] schestowitz[TR2]

This is a hexagonal spice storage box divided up into six individual compartments. Four buttons on the front of the spice box let the cook select a pre-programmed recipe. The edges of the corresponding compartments will then light up in green, indicating that theyre necessary for the recipe. For example, a tikka masala chicken marinade recipe might illuminate turmeric, cumin, chili powd [08:34] schestowitz[TR2] er, and garam masala.

    [08:34] schestowitz[TR2]

An Arduino UNO Rev3 board makes this possible. It monitors the buttons to determine which recipe was chosen, then triggers the appropriate RGB LED strips to guide the user as they prepare the meal.

  • Self-leveling workbench can travel without trouble

Anactuallylevel workbench is critical for many different jobs, such as pouring resin or calibrating sensors. But it is difficult enough to level a stationary workbench and that becomes a nightmare for a workbench that needs to roll around a shop on cas [16:06] schestowitz[TR2] ters, as shop floors definitely arent level.
