schestowitzWhen I joined 11 years ago we had our own servers/rack. Now most things, even the VPN, are outsourced to Amazon.  Communication has been outsourced to another surveillance company, Slack. In effect we're being outsourced to military contractors in the US, which in accordance with the Cloud Act of 2018 spy on everything we do and hand over personal data from the UK to spy agencies outside the UK. schestowitzI can understand that we made the decision to adopt "Google Workspaces" because of call features, but I hope it'll stop there. All that Google stuff is proprietary software which likely breaches the GDPR in a number of ways not tested yet by EU courts. As for British courts, with heavy lobbying it's unlikely we'll get concrete answers any times soon.Nov 30 15:22
