What externally vetted AI Ethics regimen will IPKAT / IPO be considering as guidance for future policy decisions? Will the IEEE Ethically-Aligned Design document (EAD1e), or the EU's Coordinated Plan on Artificial Intelligence 2021 Review be considered as part of the framework?

The issue of Ethical AI is of world-wide concern, and as such, it should be considered of grave importance to employ as many viewpoints as possible to prevent myopic business-centric, monopolistic issues as has plagued Ethical AI deployment in the U.S. in recent years.

My advice is to cast as wide a net as possible to gather those considerations, but definitely examine those initiatives from across the globe which are less profit-centric to avoid conflicts of interest spoiling your considered judgement.

I wish more attorneys understood better that ultimately infringement work IS what patents are actually FOR, and as such is the actual core substance of their work. No-one would bother spending all the money on prosecution work if they could not, at the end of it, have something they could enforce against infringers.

This is why FD4 is important. It does not matter if you come up with a solution that is valid over the prior art, supported etc. if it is not also infringed by competitors ultimately making use of the inventive subject matter. That your work (but certainly not mine) rarely actually touches on I&V is neither here not there: the client would not even be paying you to do that work if they could not get something that was both I'ed and V'd when push

Fellow&associates do a survey every year which includes comparing international vs UK salary. Every year, international wages are consistently above UK wages, yet the exams in UK are more demanding. The idea that harder & more exams = better pay is not true. It only just delays or suppress the wages of a significant majority in the profession and therefore, when they do pass, alot of experiences are not accounted for in the increase of wages so over
