[23:00]	DaemonFC	Will Trump try it if he comes back? Possibly. The Republicans are getting fed up with the limitations of the system and are lowering the threshold to take unilateral action with minimal public support.

[23:01]	DaemonFC	It's difficult seeing the Democrats losing so many seats that they couldn't stop this.
[23:01]	DaemonFC	So it is possible, but it's on the edges of possibility, or it would have been done already.
[23:02]	DaemonFC	The Democrats are so bad at governing in popular ways that they lost almost all their seats in government throughout the entire country in 2010.
[23:02]	DaemonFC	So I wouldn't put the possibility of the voters being so fed up with them that they only have 39 seats or less in the Senate next year quite out of reach.
[23:04]	DaemonFC	The problem with passing legislation and then having it fade in over a decade is that you give your enemy time to do the explaining and nobody knows what it really does because it will take 10 years, and then you have entire election cycles where the enemy can get in and sabotage it.
[23:04]	DaemonFC	So with the ACA/Obamacare it was really 10 years where the general public had no idea what it did because it wasn't even doing ANYTHING for over 3 years.
[23:04]	DaemonFC	So it became "death panels" and "you won't even have insurance!" and all sorts of things.
[23:05]	DaemonFC	Then the Democrats tried creating a Medicare cost containment board, and the Republicans say "they're going to ration it" "they're going to make you wait years to get anything done and you'll be dead by then".
[23:06]	DaemonFC	Then they blocked the IPAB from having any commissioners and repealed it 
[23:06]	DaemonFC	The Republicans are so inept that everything they did to try to destabilize the law just gave the people who hated it most no reason to care anymore.
[23:06]	DaemonFC	The IPAB never happened, the individual mandate penalty is gone.

[23:15]	DaemonFC	Alaska pays you to live there. I don't think there's a State income tax.
[23:15]	DaemonFC	The Venezuelans will probably never make it up there and they'd have to get past Canadian border agents and thousands of miles of Canada to do it.
[23:17]	DaemonFC	I just don't think you'd get the kind of crap and garbage living in Alaska that you do down here.
[23:17]	DaemonFC	Because those kinds of people don't go anywhere unless the government offers to move them to another spot.

[23:17]	DaemonFC	So making it to Alaska would be too much.
[23:18]	DaemonFC	And while I did say the Alaskan government pays you, it's not enough to really be the deciding factor.
[23:18]	DaemonFC	Things cost more there, so the oil fund just helps people out a bit who can basically take care of themselves anyway.
