[02:17]	DaemonFC	MP3 used to have the argument that everything else would run your battery down faster even if the codec itself was a lot simpler just because MP3 "cheated" by having hardware decode.

[03:34]	DaemonFC	It has a big problem with pre-echo and really the only way to deal with them is give up and bloat those frames that they're in to overcome the artifacts. The fact that Opus handles them very well is impressive.

[03:36]	DaemonFC	MinceR, One of my favorite design decisions with Opus is that the frame size is effectively arbitrary, but Vorbis has that as well.
