It's a carrier solution that is combustible, and several hundred PPM of polyetheramines, but it's not gasoline. [23:32] IsambardPrince Anyway, a gallon is 128 ounces, and it says use 1 ounce of Techron per gallon of gasoline. He was using Redline so I don't know what the treat rate is. [23:33] IsambardPrince But I doubt either of them would cause too much drop in fuel economy for the treatment tank since you're replacing less than 1% of the gasoline with the detergent additive. [23:33] IsambardPrince The EPA would never allow you to sell something that goes in the gas tank if it was going to be so strong it would affect emissions components, so none of them tend to do a lot more than the fuel injection and intake valves. [23:34] IsambardPrince This guy is looking at the difference on the piston crowns, and for something that goes in the gas tank, Redline was pretty impressive.
