[22:04]	IsambardPrince	If you have a lot of debt, or you're carrying an unusually high balance on one line in particular, or too many requests for credit in the last two years, then the usual really bad stuff like late payments, charge offs, bankruptcy, repossession.

[22:04]	IsambardPrince	Many creditors will start backing away from you if you have too much of the first three going on.

[22:18]	IsambardPrince	When my partner told his friends at work I use a Swiffer WetJet and Dawn PowerWash, they thought "Wow, that's expensive." and I told them "Really it's not, I buy the pads from China in bulk, I make the solution and the dish spray myself and keep refilling the bottle for about 10 cents each time."
[22:19]	IsambardPrince	Bad baseline math can be things like spending 70 cents per Swiffer pad instead of 20 cents.
[22:21]	IsambardPrince	Or $4.99 for a bottle of Dawn dish spray, when you can make it yourself from econo-size ingredients from Sam's Club for 22 cents. Or buying Swiffer mop solution for $7 each and it lasts about two weeks, vs. refilling it and spending 12 cents.
[22:21]	IsambardPrince	70 cents vs. 20 cents per pad that's 3.5x markup. $4.99 for Dawn vs. 22 cents that's 23x markup. $7 for two weeks of mop solution vs. 12 cents per refill that's 580x markup on the retail bottle.
[22:22]	IsambardPrince	They can run coupons and rebates and not care if you stack them because they're selling this stuff for dozens or even hundreds of times what it cost them.
[22:23]	IsambardPrince	A person "winning" with coupons will never beat the guy that just makes the stuff.

[22:24]	IsambardPrince	It took me years to go through that.
[22:26]	IsambardPrince	P&G says they invest in the leading edge laundry surfactants and detergents, but lately I've noticed a pattern where it just doesn't work as well. Government regulations came along and they said "Oh it might kill a fish in a river somewhere. Now you can't get ketchup and motor oil out of your jeans."

[23:00]	IsambardPrince	I did vote for Darren Bailey in the last Gubernatorial Election, but I'll be voting for JB Pritzker this time.

You know, at the time of the previous election we were in the middle of Joe Biden's presidency and I was so disgusted with the heavy-handedness of the federal government. You know, all the "COVID shot" mandates, and masks, and economy-killing shutdowns, that I blew my stack and actually voted for Bailey even though he's a Republican.
[23:04]	IsambardPrince	It's still a reaction to the federal government more than it is about who I want to be the Governor. Trump is making the federal government oppressive and heavy-handed in different ways.
[23:06]	IsambardPrince	When you hear things on the news like ICE agent murdering Americans, and they have a policy where if one of them commits a crime they'll delete the body camera footage, and warehouses for people, and a contract for "gloves that shock people into compliance", you know, you don't want your state onboard with that.
[23:07]	IsambardPrince	Now that the Republicans are running things in the federal government they are trying very hard to throw out the Tenth Amendment, especially Anti-Commandeering.
[23:08]	IsambardPrince	We have to flip at least one chamber of Congress. Have to. Otherwise this country is going to hit the accelerator pedal on Trump's agenda.
[23:09]	IsambardPrince	The Republicans know they're doing badly in special elections.
[23:10]	IsambardPrince	In Tennessee they even lost a school board in an area where Trump won the last election 20 points.
