[03:58]	IsambardPrince	Because like, they sold me an obsolete copy of Sun StarOffice in like 1999, I think they marked it down to a penny to get rid of it. It didn't need Internet Explorer on the system to do anything, and it had filters for MS Office formats current to Office 97.

[04:00]	IsambardPrince	Office 97 ran without IE, to an extent. It had a very crude "detection" routine that tried to see if IE was there, and if it wasn't, it had a bundled copy it would demand that you install on Windows 95/NT4.

Jewel's profit model runs a bunch of loss leaders every week and they plan that they will recoup this when you start buying pantry staples, dairy, snacks, etc. Which they do carry, for a horrendous markup.
[21:20]	IsambardPrince	I've found that over a single week's worth of shopping, you can easily save $20 on your grocery bill by cherry picking the other store that's trying to lure you in with cheap groceries (limited selection) so you'll be forced to walk around high margin stuff and probably buy some.

[21:22]	IsambardPrince	I usually buy 9 of them at once and shove them in the freezer out of a Sam's Club order, and that gets me through the next 2-3 months without any spoilage. The texture changes, but it melts in a recipe exactly the same way.
