[03:02]	IsambardPrince	Gasoline in the US is pretty clean compared to what it used to have in it.
[03:02]	IsambardPrince	No TEL, no MTBE. Ultra Low Sulfur. Most of it is Top Tier, which has extra detergents to keep the engine running better.
[03:03]	IsambardPrince	Ethanol is the major octane booster now. After Congress passed a law in 2007 setting up an ethanol blending standard.
[03:03]	IsambardPrince	So that pretty much did away with MTBE.
[03:03]	MinceR	ethanol is hygroscopic, though
[03:05]	IsambardPrince	Yes, small engines don't like the stuff.
[03:05]	IsambardPrince	Although larger engines can tolerate it at a mixture of 10% ethanol, 90% gasoline.
[03:05]	MinceR	i suspect no engines like taking up the water that it can accumulate in the tank
[03:05]	IsambardPrince	I've never had a big issue with "water in the tank".
[03:05]	MinceR	it won't burn and it is practically incompressible
[03:06]	IsambardPrince	Trump has been pushing for year round E15 sales.
[03:06]	IsambardPrince	Ignoring that the reason it's not allowed in the summer is the Reid Vapor Pressure issue.
[03:06]	MinceR	the diddler-in-chief is driven partly by childish whims and partly by the suggestions of his handlers
