[22:51]	IsambardPrince	There's hundreds of thousands who are serving a life sentence for something truly horrible.
[22:52]	IsambardPrince	Each one of them costs the state $87,000 a year to keep alive.
[22:52]	IsambardPrince	It's not worth the cost.
[22:53]	IsambardPrince	There wouldn't be a genocide under my regime, of course. But there would be a very bloody reckoning.

[23:08]	IsambardPrince	If they keep closing at that rate that's of course 15,000 in one year.
[23:09]	IsambardPrince	When I was a kid it was almost all good, as far as restaurant food.
[23:09]	IsambardPrince	You could almost just get in the car and go anywhere and it was good.
[23:11]	IsambardPrince	The lunch price to go to the (excellent) Chinese buffet in Marion was only $4.75.
[23:11]	IsambardPrince	For dinner it was $5.75.
[23:11]	IsambardPrince	But for dinner they put out crab legs and some other stuff that wasn't on the lunch menu.

[23:50]	IsambardPrince	It already tastes exactly like Marsh Supermarket's ham salad. You can't even go to Marsh anymore, they went bankrupt years ago.
[23:55]	parsifal	IsambardPrince: What you suggest -> the wholesale elimination of dangerous criminals in prisons as a warning to others -> simply does not work, this has been indisputably proven throughout history. 
[23:56]	parsifal	Take pirates, for example: they didn't disappear because they were terrified by the mass hangings -> with their bodies left to sway and dry in the sun along the docks, but rather because times changed, and new, more lucrative, and less risky ways to make a fortune emerged.
[23:56]	parsifal	Your leaders would do better to ask themselves why your country ranks fifth globally in terms of prisoners per capita, most of whom are repeat offenders, murderers, and psychopaths of various stripes.
[23:56]	parsifal	In this regard, you find yourself in the company of such exceptionally "advanced" and "democratic" countries as Rwanda and El Salvador....
[23:56]	parsifal	By asking this question and finding the answer, they might also discover a solution to the problem -> one that is non-violent and sustainable in the long run ;)
