Apple Has Far More in Debt Than It Has in Money, as Per Figures Published for End of December
After its latest results Apple has $35,000,000,000 more in real debt than it has in actual money, based on figures published/updated less than a day ago.
A day ago we said we'd keep a close eye on this, seeing that Microsoft has about 32 billion dollars in debt more than it has money. Apple's debt grew about tenfold in a decade. It's like a phantom economy of lending.
Let's face it, Apple is in a similar situation (to Microsoft's) and it scrapes the bottom of the barrel these days. It resorts to buzzwords and vapourware, claiming that something which does not exist is "sold out".
Based on these latest figures ("Desktop Operating System Market Share Ukraine"), GNU/Linux's share is increasing. Free software is growing worldwide and GNU/Linux is becoming a lot bigger than Apple everywhere but some rich countries (not all, not Norway for instance). Apple does not enjoy real growth and over the past year it mostly saw contraction. It openly admitted this.
Ukraine is seemingly adopting GNU/Linux [1, 2] and it is not alone. Let's hope that when GNU/Linux grows it'll be controlled by communities, not large companies like IBM. █
