According to a new report from Irish Examiner, Blizzard Entertainment plans to cut 136 jobs at the office based in Cork, Ireland.
The Tánaiste (deputy head of government), Michéal Martin, confirmed the number of affected employees while speaking in the Dáil. Blizzard reportedly employs about 200 people at its Cork office.
So, if Blizzard goes through with the layoffs, it will cut back on nearly the entire office. Blizzard first established itself in Ireland over a decade ago.

Blizzard, Riot Games reduce staff in Korean units
The South Korean units of global game developers such as Blizzard Entertainment Inc. and Riot Games Inc. are confirmed to be laying off employees as headquarters initiate restructuring measures.
According to multiple sources from the information technology (IT) industry on Thursday, Blizzard Korea have already notified its staff who are part of the first round of job cuts. As a result, about 20 employees are scheduled to leave the company by the end of February 2024.
