Rebranding and Shutdowns; Is WSL Next to Get the 'Cull Treatment'?

THE above is from Phoronix, which kept promoting "Azure Linux" (by another name) for several years already (we pointed this out before, even about 10 days ago).
Now that Windows Subsystem for Android is dead people begin to wonder if WSL is next. We've spoken about this in IRC this week.
Microsoft typically rebrands things when they fail to find adoption. "Copilot" is one recent example.
Rebranding things as "Azure" (like embedded OSes Microsoft buys) is about making Azure seem like it's growing even when it is not. █
