GNU/Linux in Sudan: Up to Around 10%, Android (Linux) at 93% of "The Market"
About 1 in 10 laptop/desktop Web requests is estimated to have come from GNU/Linux (not ChromeOS), and Windows is at around 2% because Android dominates
THE situation in Sudan (not the war, the tech) was mentioned here a couple of months ago in "statCounter: This Month Windows Fell to 2% Market Share in 4 African Countries: Guinea, Chad, Central African Republic, and Sudan" and also last year in "In Sudan, Microsoft Windows Fell Below 10% Market Share This Month". Earlier this year statCounter measured GNU/Linux in Sudan at around 5% of desktops/laptops, but in more recent months (March - June 2024) we see it at around 10% or even higher. Taking all form factors into account, it looks like this:
Look at Windows there... it's like only 1 in 50 Web requests come from Windows. █
