DDOS Attack Won't Stop Us

Looking upwards into a bright blue sky is an old dock post wrapped with rope

DDOS attack on Tux Machines (yesterday AM) slowed down Techrights, but it was still available, just not so responsive in the morning

In 4 days from now the sister site turns 20. With 45 new pages in Tux Machines yesterday, in spite of a DDOS attack (seems like a trend), nothing can stop the parties next week.

So far this week we've published over 20 articles each day in Techrights and we plan to maintain this pace indefinitely. Traffic here and in the sister site (Tux Machines) is over a million requests per day and over time it is improving, even if the Web at large is languishing.

The Web is an awful place to run a PHP (or similar) powered site because of the growing proportion of it that is rogue bots. Go static. You will not regret it. This is 2024, not 2004.
