In Many Countries, Both Large and Small, Vista 11 is Losing Market Share (Despite New PCs Coming Preloaded With It)
THE story is an important one. This narrative is crucial, but mainstream media is trying to look the other way and not even cover it (with very few exceptions). One need not even consider large nations in isolation.
In French Polynesia it is estimated that about 1 in 50 is a GNU/Linux user and Windows is on about a quarter of connected devices (Android still dominates). Google Chrome has about half the market and Vista 11 has lost share for 2 months in a row, just like in many other countries. Has Microsoft gone too far? █
"Some commentators are snarking that Microsoft really really wants to make 2025 the year of Linux on the Desktop, and it's kind of hard to refute them right now." - Charlie Stross
