Uzbekistan: GNU/Linux Ascent
IT seems like good news "all around"; there is still a steady increase in GNU/Linux usage worldwide, based on numerous separate surveys, not just statCounter. The measure has been rising every day for about a week already and it now looks like this:
Looking closely at Uzbekistan, for a change, we see further growth this month:
We've hardly mentioned Uzbekistan because there were not particularly special things to say.
Having said that, Uzbekistan is almost the same size as France and it's not a small population.
We're going to get some July numbers over a week from now. It'll be easy and interesting to see how a 'fresh' data set may 'reset' some stuff, showing either decreases or increases (it has been mostly consistent increases in recent years). █
