Drunk... again
My consumption of spirits is too high. I fight and flail and unquestionably fail.
Pumped full of chemicals, but nothing change, only the ghost of ethanol cure me of my strange.

IT HAS BEGUN! (“It” being Christmas themed advertising)
Last night at the Cracker Barrel [1], Bunny and I saw store displays nominally for Halloween. But nestled in the middle of the display was an evergreen tree with ornaments hanging off it. Try as you might, Cracker Barrel, there is no such thing as a Halloween Tree [2] (no disrepect, Mr. Bradury [3])—it's still a Chrismtas Tree.
And then today I saw what is to me, the first official advertisement for Christmas—a trailer for a movie called “Red One [4],” a muddy looking CGI (Computer Generated Images) slugfest where Santa Clause has been kidnapped [5] and needs to be saved.

No Kurzgesagt, Feeling Free Isn't Good Enough
Before I critique Kurzgesagt's new video, I just want to make clear that this entry does not constitute a return to writing. I'm still taking a step back¹ from writing. I'm only writing this entry because Kurzgesagt has a lot of influence and I want to share my thoughts on why they're wrong while the video is still recent.

I honestly don't feel accomplished.
It has been around 3 weeks since have got done with finals. I didn't have much hope for it honestly, but grades turned out to be a lot better than I was expecting it to be. I don't feel any sort of accomplishment, though. Just feeling this "oh I don't need to worry about this now" feeling for an hour or two then forgetting about it.
I've been feeling this a lot recently with summer, especially as I was trying to branch on to more things, but it all feels like just another weight off my shoulder. It lead me to cancel a lot of my personal plans, as I wasn't convinced like it would make any positive impact.

Selfhosting a Household Wiki
I've always felt that the way we kept track of things around the house could be improved.
Very often I found myself searching and scrolling through the family chat history to find back things like recipes and contacts.
It was just a cluttered mess. Some important data resides on a chat, some was kept in Google Keep and others were just written on a piece of paper that you never seem to find when you actually need it.
So we decided to go for a more structured approach and set up a Wiki.
Since I already have a trusty old Pine64 SBC running in the basement, it was an easy choice to assign it the task of hosting the Wiki.
After testing out a couple of open source Wiki solutions, I finally decided on BookStack.
