Let's Encrypt About to Fall Below 100 (Capsules) in Geminispace, It's Basically in a Freefall
THIS morning (yes, just earlier today!) we said that Let's Encrypt had fallen to just 104 Gemini capsules and his evening it's down to 101. Lupa says "2522 (90.7 %) capsules are self-signed, 101 (3.6 %) use the Certificate Authority Let's Encrypt, 157 (5.6 %) are signed by another CA (may be not a trusted one)."
The "self-signed" portion keeps growing, not only in relative terms. It was 2399 5 months ago. A year ago Lupa saw about 500 capsules fewer.
So it generally looks like Gemini keeps growing (seeing more traffic over time affirms this belief or gut feeling of ours) and some old capsules go away as people move on in life. Spacewalk, previously found in this address, has shut down. Today Jukka wrote: "I remove Spacewalk from the list of places to find new capsules and pages, as it’s gone." But replacements are created all the time, so syndication is still feasible. We do our own and it gets updated every 60 minutes. █
