night
Sleeping in a relatively new place is exciting, isn't it? Moved to a new dorm this year. Finally with friends to accompany it. The childhood dream of an only child became true. Permanent sleepovers for a few months straight. I had some doubts going into it but I guess this would be how moving in with a partner would feel like.
Some personal issues starting from late July continue. Some days it feels like I want to leave it all behind, along with the university and all plans. Other days, I rediscover what I love about this life. The bumpy road isn't behind. Probably won't be for a while.

cig drags, coffee swills, and continual respite of full blast AC
the other night when I wrote here last, a large possum crept into the drainage gulley next to my apartment. I never saw a live possum before. Just dead on the side of the road. I assumed they were like that of a mythical creature - Bigfoot leaving only traces of fur behind, an Australian black panther putting claw marks in neighborhood backyards - just a *believed* creature, not be proven nor documented.

life bits
1. i haven't done art in a while, felt like it's so complicated and there's no inspiration etc etc. but honestly just opening the box of paper scraps is inspiring enough to bang out a few collages in a few minutes. i just need to remember to do it. somehow i prefer to do it in my journal vs. in the dedicated sketchbook. not sure if it's because i want it to fit in among my "every day", or the sketchbook makes it official and intimidating, or i just really dislike that paper/format? a mystery.
2. as i expected! with testosterone i have developed enough muscle to be able to achieve the previously impossible: sit straight and breathe without tension or pain! still only when i pay attention, ie. in meditation. but yeah, it used to be a "pick two" situation, even when i've sat for months and months, half an hour a day. it never got better. and now, bam! unfair advantage.

Venus Gate
The world of my previous update kept running through the summer. I found an astrological concept called Venus Gate, or Venus Star Point, or Venus Star Gate.
The deity showed me herself standing on the moon of my birth chart (like Virgin Mary). She stepped down off the moon and descended down an underworld journey (like Persephone) and was brought up side by side with Loki/Hermes through another gate at my ascendant.
During the journey, my prophet alter ego found a voice and gave me a numerological world creation myth (or an outline of one) and another myth about the chakras and their relationship to the journey of the consciousness up through human evolution and civilization and through a line of different shades of holy individuals.

Emacs Wiki and China
Well, I needed to sleep and I‘ve got plans for the next few days so I shut it down while I slept hoping that the misconfigured spider is fixed or the inept programmer discovers their mistake. Just another day in the Butlerian Jihad. Some misguided soul probably wanted to download it all and wrote a broken web crawler and when that got blocked they bought some nice scaling infrastructure from Amazon, Hetzner, OHV or Alibaba Cloud or whatever they are called, allowing them to use a gazillion different IP numbers that will eventually lead me to implement some sort of cloud service provider block.

Roof lock 2024 🏠🔏
I'm not remote (central London), I'm not outdoors (in a bar having a free beer 🍺), I'm not off-grid (bar has wi-fi), and this isn't Gopher. Fail!
