  • Project Skydrop and shrinking circles

    An intriguing treasure hunt is in progress. A valuable item was left on the forest floor somewhere within a 500 mile radius circle shown on the project website. Each day the circle shrinks, so we know the treasure is within the new smaller circle.

  • building meshtastic from git at the cli

    I cloned the meshtastic repo a few weeks back but was still using the browser based flasher and the images they package. The instructions for building from the CLI seemed absent from the repository. Or at least I didn’t see them.

  • it is a sad day

    I just learned that Fantasy Life i has been delayed again. I was really looking forward to the release. I was even going to take that day off from work.

    I’ve been playing the previous version on 3DS in my free time lately. I’ve managed to complete the main quest to save Reveria, but I haven’t yet discovered Origin Island. I’m using the Mage Life, but I’ve also unlocked a few of the gathering and crafting classes. My highest rank in any given life so far is just Adept. I’ve done zero side quests. Just Flutter’s Bliss quests and Life-specific quests.

      Google disabled my Play Store developer account because I didn't consent to publicly sharing my home address. I'm disappointed. Rosy Crow is now only available via F-Droid.

    • PubSub and Meshtastic Callback issues

      I don’t know why, but you cannot use a closure for callbacks when subscribing to Meshtastic events. It took me days to figure out. Also, the parameter name in pubsub callbacks really matter. Even for positional arguments.
