Like a Marketing Department of Microsoft, Canonical Sells Back Doors and Surveillance as "Confidential" and "Hey Hi" (AI)
Here we go again.
The usual author, whose output is 100% Microsoft marketing:
Are these Microsoft employees? It does not say, there's no full name/s or anything.
This is hardly the first time they do this. See: When 'Ubuntu Pro' Means Microsoft Ubuntu With Back Doors (the 'Confidential' Lie) | Mark Shuttleworth's (MS's) Canonical is Promoting Microsoft This Week (Surveillance Slanted as 'Confidential') | 'Confidential Computing'? More Like a Giant Back Door.
Canonical does not compete against Microsoft. Like Novell, Canonical sees itself as a partner. Notice how Canonical has made no statement critical of Microsoft for years.
Many people already forgot about how Microsoft 'bricked' dual-boot setups (only 1.5 months ago). Ubuntu users were among those and it probably impacted the "market share" of GNU/Linux worldwide; how many GNU/Linux users were impacted by this? Millions? Tens of millions? Why was nobody at Microsoft punished? They can repeat such crimes every year without any consequences.
If you want to see Windows replaced by GNU/Linux, don't follow Canonical's lead; heck, it sees Ubuntu as some "app" for Windows (WSL). Remember that WSL started as a Microsoft/Canonical collaboration. Mark Shuttleworth no longer lives in South Africa, but he still exploits slave labour and promotes .NET. He has a nose for money and no grasp of freedom. █
