Linux Foundation is a Scam Like 'Crypto' (So is the Company of Jim Zemlin's Wife, Bakkt)
From $1,000+ at time of IPO to under $10: (falling by over 99%)
This past week we stumbled upon a couple of reports about the "Linux Foundation’s decision to stop hosting email lists as of year-end 2023."
"It is the end of an era of sorts for communicating about Bitcoin development," one site said. Days later another one said: "The ‘bitcoin-dev’ mailing list, a cornerstone of Bitcoin development for over a decade, is now exclusively hosted on Google’s centralized servers.
"On Nov.5, Bitcoin Core developer Bryan Bishop announced that the mailing list had been purged from the Linux Foundation archives.
"The bitcoin-dev archives and ongoing communication now exclusively reside on Google Groups, an ironic twist for a technological phenomenon staunchly committed to decentralization and open-source development."
For those who don't know, the Linux Foundation is boosting those same scammers for profit (apparently it's OK as long as they pay for it!) and the wife of the Linux Foundation's chief fled one such scam that she helped create as soon as there were lawsuits for securities fraud (even class action [1, 2, 3]). She was CRO (R for "Revenue") at Bakkt Holdings Inc. - a 'cryptocurrency' firm. She scammed a lot of people out of their money. Sort of like her husband scams Linus Torvalds out of his own projects, including Git (he helps Microsoft replace that with proprietary GitHub, i.e. Microsoft).
To us, the Linux Foundation is just a massive scam. It calls itself "Linux", but only about 2% of its budget is devoted to Linux. The rest is just openwashing and PR for assorted scams. Perhaps one day Linus Torvalds will realise his role in the "90% marketing", then pack up and go (with his valuable trademark), not do interview with a click-fraudster and scammer.
The Linux Foundation is so sick that it blackmailed the person who had started Linux, effectively or in effect locking him out of his very own project.
Why do such sociopaths end up bossing skilled and smart people like Torvalds? █
