Aside from censorship there's also propaganda and controlling what goes "viral" is a human task for operators.

Notice how, just above the photograph, France 24 advertises itself in "X" (Musk and KSA) as a platform in which to follow it. What an own goal. It's well documented - and by now generally obvious - that "X" intentionally promoted Trump ahead of the US election. Social control media is bad, not just BRICS-controlled social control media.
How do deniers of the intentional harms of social control media feel now? Many of them are social control media 'addicts' themselves.
