[EN] Make it easy to delete!
I've constantly thought of deleting the whole list and start over. At the same time I have some links that 'might' be useful later.
It's emotionally easy to add more and more, and it's tedious to decide what I should remove. I try to do a yearly cleanup of old data, and even acquaintances with whom I haven't spoken in over a year, although sometimes I don't have enough energy for that.
Based on the reading, I think it's a good idea to fight the FOMO with an auto-delete. If it's it older than -let's say- 1 year, it'll be gone, unless you do something to 'refresh' your interest on it.

Adventures with Bevy
Bevy is newer game engine written in Rust. It isn't like most other game engines like Unreal or Godot where you have a GUI and is more similar to Mono in that it is code only. There are some plugins that add GUIs but they aren't required and I haven't used them before. Bevy follows the ECS architecture and I love it. You create components that contain some kind of data, like health, and then you use these components to make entities, or most things you interact with in a game. Entities are just collections of components and nothing more. Finally, you have systems which are just functions that act on components. So you can have a 'check_dead' system that gets all entities that have the 'Health' component and checks the health of that entity.

Still more email for Sean Conner, and a disturbing warning from Gmail
Ah, the start of the Christmas season! A time when a lot of people visit friends and family for the holidays. So it wasn't terribly surprising when I received an invitation for a family reunion. For the GXXX family out of Chigaco, from, as it turns out, my Uncle James PXXXXXXX. The only thing is—I don't have any known family in Chicago, much less know anyone in the GXXX family, nor do I have an uncle names James PXXXXXXX.

Gee, thanks Gmail. How long until you start outright rejecting email to or from anyone not using Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo or Gmail? Or am I just too cynical?

Jumping into Gemini
I have followed the Gemini protocol for a while now, and have finally decided to create my own capsule. I enjoy the community of sites like bbs.geminispace.org. Everyone there seems to be thoughtful and there isn't much in the way of bad-faith arguing for the sake of argument which you see all over the web.
As seems to be the tradition in inaugural post of these sorts, allow me to give a brief rundown of my setup. My capsule is currently hosted on a Raspberry Pi siting on my desk. I am running Agate and building my capsule with kiln. I may eventually migrate to a dynamic Gemini server, but I don't require anything more than hosting plain text and perhaps media so for the time being my current setup seems to suit me just fine.

* Gemini (Primer) links can be opened using Gemini software. It's like the World Wide Web but a lot lighter.
